The Microblading Difference

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that implants pigment into the upper region of the dermis. It creates realistic hair-like strokes into the eyebrow for a soft, natural look. It helps to add fullness, definition, a missing arch or to simply enhance your natural shape

How Microblading Works

Step 1

CONSULTATION

SK8A7917

I like to meet with my clients for a consultation before starting the microblading procedure. During the consultation, I ask clients to show me any photos of eyebrows they like/don’t like and go over how they normally draw on their eyebrows to get an idea of the client’s unique style. I then give my recommendations and we start the process.

Step 2

NUMBING

SK8A7967

I will next numb your brows with a 5% lidocaine topical anesthetic cream for 20 minutes to numb and minimize any discomfort. Please know that I also have a numbing gel that I can use to numb again mid procedure to keep any discomfort at the utmost minimum. I want you to be as comfortable as possible throughout the whole procedure.

Step 3

BROW MAPPING

SK8A7981

I then measure all the points of the client’s brows with a ruler to ensure symmetry and precision. Next, I begin designing the shape, based on the client’s natural eyebrow shape and their desired look. This is all done with a eyebrow pencil first to ensure you love the new shape of your brows. The shape can be adjusted, if needed, before the procedure starts.

Step 4

COLOR

SK8A7891

We will work together to pick the perfect shade to compliment your new brows based on your skin tone and natural hair color. I will swatch pigment shades on the forehead based on your natural eyebrow color and unique desired style.

Step 5

OUTLINE

Once we have the desired shape and color selected. I then dot the outline with a medical grade surgical marker to ensure the shape throughout the whole procedure.

Step 6

MICROBLADING

Only after the client has approved the shape, color and the numbing is completed, then I will proceed with the microblading procedure. That’s when the magic happens. I always open a sterile needle in front of the client and then begin the microblading. Sanitation is very important. Pigment is then implanted into the skin with the tool in the form of natural looking hair strokes to give it the illusion of fine hair. The proper numbing gel is applied mid procedure to ensure the utmost comfort throughout.

Step 7

REVEAL

Once the microblading procedure is complete, the big reveal happens. I will show you your new beautiful set of brows and go over the proper aftercare needed. I will also ask if you would like to make any adjustments before you leave. I pride myself on my clients feeling 100% satisfied and happy with their new brows upon leaving the studio.

Step 8

TOUCH UP

Microblading and powder ombre is a multisession process, meaning, touch ups are necessary. Think of this as the second coat of nail polish, the first one is alright, but the second one seals the deal and solidifies everything. This session is done 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure. At this session, we will go over any concerns they may have had during the healing, fill in any areas that may have faded or simply go thicker and/or darker if the client wishes. I go conservative on the first session to ensure the client is satisfied, so adding on the touch up is a piece of cake! The touch up session will take half the time that the initial session took. I always make sure the client leaves with a genuine smile on their face.
