Being an Ohio native, I moved to Los Angeles in early 2011 to pursue my passion and further my education in the beauty industry. Since then, I received my Associates of Arts Degree in Beauty Merchandising & Marketing, from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) in DTLA.
After graduating, I didn’t want my beauty education to stop there, so I enrolled and earned my certificate from Cinema Makeup School’s Master Makeup Program. This experience helped to greatly expand my makeup artistry and knowledge in beauty, special effects, tv/film, prosthetics, character and hairstyling. From there, I started working for NYX Cosmetics as their product development coordinator working through the whole process of developing an array of cosmetics and products.

Hello all, my name is Lexie Mick. A little about me – I’ve been working in the beauty industry for over 10 years now. I am a licensed cosmetologist and certified aesthetician for microblading and powder ombre brows.

Although I loved all my beauty gigs, I always had a deeper passion for eyebrows. It fascinates me how important eyebrows can be to a person’s look. Well-maintained eyebrows frame your face, harmonize your features and define your eyes. I first discovered microblading when my mom got hers done years ago in Ohio and I immediately became intrigued by the concept of permanent makeup. I loved how the microblading technique masters such a natural and realistic look. I then took a microblading course at Elite Permanent Makeup, where I received my certification in microblading. This technique came very natural to me and I immediately knew this was my life’s passion. Later on, I trained with the Beauty Angels Academy and learned the microshading technique.
